Chesterton: Distributism Posits Need To Distribute Private Property Until Everyone Has Enough

"Distributism Isn't Outdated"

Alan: A cautionary note concerning "Distributism Isn't Outdated."

Although Distributism is not a socialist enterprise, it is more redolent of socialism than capitalism in that private property is seen as an integral part of humankind's overarching patrimony and is not dependent on having sufficient capital to aggregate necessary resource.

Yes, Distributism sees private property as a right.

But note that it simultaneously sees private property as a right and not just a purchasable privilege.

On the face of it, "Distributism" distributes resource.

And what is distributed in one generation is necessarily re-distributed in the next.
