The Relationship Between Power And Corruption. Acton, Caro, Brin And Steinbeck

Lord Acton was a devout Catholic and Cambridge historian. 
He wrote his famous dictum on the corrupting effect of power while opposing the Doctrine of Papal Infallibility 
which was then being discussed at the First Vatican Council.
Robert Caro is Lyndon Johnson's most notable biographer.
