Fort Hood Carnage: The Military Does Sees Armed Soldiers As Threat To Security

The belief that only violence can combat violence constitutes a confession of despair.
It is a statement of belief that assigns no value to education or political measures that have proven to minimize gun violence in other cultures.

Perhaps the most informative parallel between current gun violence in the United States and reduction of gun violence in future is the Port Arthur Massacre in Australia which was followed by precipitous decline in gun following enactment of restrictive gun legislation.

More guns on bases not the answer. "A former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff argued Sunday against calls to relax gun restrictions on the nation's military bases in the wake of last week's deadly shooting spree at Fort Hood. During an appearance on NBC's 'Meet the Press,' retired Adm.
