Alan: Solar energy in the United States is barely out of the womb.

Imagine.

The country of Germany, which supplies more than a third of its electrical energy through solar devices, receives only half the sunlight that my home state of North Carolina receives.

If the United States made full throttle commitment to solarize from sea to shining sea, many millions of jobs would be created.

The coal jobs are not coming back.
