Though it's been decades since The Beatles last released music together, their legacy lives on through their songs as well as other artists' meaningful tributes. Today, Cirque du Soleil and Apple Corps Ltd. joined forces to do the latter by releasing a music video for the band's iconic ballad, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."
The video—which resides on The Beatles' official YouTube page—is an artistic re-staging of a performance from Cirque du Soleil's Beatles-centric LOVE show in Las Vegas, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary today. Appropriately titled "Gently Weeps," the number showcases the renowned Montreal troupe's aesthetic of dance and eclectic acrobatic performance, while illustrations by Dandypunk (who also directed the video) pirouette beside Cirque performer Eira Glover.
