Ted Cruz and The Big Lie

"The scientific evidence doesn't support global warming," Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas told NPR a few days before the agreement was signed. "Climate change is the perfect pseudoscientific theory for a big-government politician who wants more power." (Alan: I would venture that fundamentalist "Christianity" is the perfect theory for a supposedly small-government politician who wants more power.)

Alan: Everyone agrees that the planet is getting warmer, that the warming trajectory is spiking, and that Pacific islands have already been evacuated due to rising sea levels created by melting ice caps.

Ted Cruz either lies (or refuses to inform himself) that global warming is an incontrovertible fact.

Concerning Cruz' statement that climate change is "a pseudo-scientific theory," one to three percent of climate scientists still hold reservations concerning the reality of global warming - or its cause. 

The other 97%-99% of climate scientists say that global warming is both real and anthropogenically-caused which is to say "due to human agency."
