Politicians In The Trash Bin (Video)

"Politicians In The Trash Bin" Video

Dear J.

Thanks for your Facebook post.

I understand the frustration and anger of "common folk."

But remember: mobs always consider themselves righteous.

In fact, mobs are stupid and brutal and despite their evident boorishness they think they can do no wrong.

After all, they are "on a mission from God."

Among the attackers in this video, I wonder how many -- if any -- actively participate in projects that improve their local communities.

Similarly, what percentage of these people content themselves with the glib assumption that "politicians should do something about this" while they spend nearly all their time slouching on the couch.

Those who consider violence the default solution to human problems are themselves the problem, just as they were when their "spiritual forebears" clamored for the invasion of Iraq and the endless escalation of Vietnam.

Even more to the point... Pilate, a quintessentially corrupt politician, was insightful enough to "find no fault" with the Nazarene.

But the mob, riled up by priests and local politicians, demanded the carpenter's crucifixion.

If Jesus were to return, the priests and politicians would again put his head on a pike.

There is nothing exceptional about the killing of Christ.

The hot-headed mob wanted blood and, as always, got it.

It is the same with Trump - the billionaire "hero" of the little guy whom The Donald continually fleeces at his casinos where, wallowing in derisive cynicism, he KNOWS he's going to empty their wallets.

After all, he owns The House.

And all the way to the bank, Trump (and all the other thieves legalized by Cowboy Capitalism) can't stop laughing.

The Huey Longs of this world are essentially cynical people who manipulate the gullible to personal advantage.

Until dimwitted folk educate themselves -- or at least rein in their reflexive contempt for knowledgeable people -- they will be taken for yet another ride.

Pax vobiscum

Alan
