"Why I Hope To Die At 75," Ezekiel Emmanuel

"Why I hope to die at 75."
Ezekiel Emanuel in The Atlantic.

Alan: According to The Bible, a human life span is 70 years - 80 if a person enjoys a particularly strong constitution. Modern healthcare has extended life beyond scriptural "normalcy" and the usual limit of "natural law." This fact begs many questions.  At minimum, we ought to define when the "prolongation of life" becomes the "prolongation of death."

"Our lives last seventy years or, if we are strong, eighty years. Even the best of them are struggle and sorrow; indeed, they pass quickly and we fly away."
Psalm 90:10
