Given the compass of Original Sin -- and the corruption it engenders -- humankind is awash in an abundance of blame.

Even so, I see significant differences between Walmart and Amazon.

Whereas Walmart delights in selling junk to people who crave crap, Amazon has at least created a culture of intelligent "review," grounding customers in a kind of intellectual rigor and consequent determination to make informed decisions.
Walmart, on the other hand, depends on witless impulse buying.
Take away the prurience of ad libidum acquisitiveness and there's not much left to good ol' Sam but the band of corporate welfare queens who now bear the Walton name.
