The Second Amendment:
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
This amendment begins with the phrase "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state" because none of the Founding Fathers believed in a standing army.
Strick Constitutionalism starts with this historical understanding.
First things first, the right to "keep and bear arms" derives from participation in a well regulated militia.
(Please note the word "regulated" and the phrase "well regulated.")

Can't wait for my kids' teachers to pack Uzis.
If nothing else, it will remind me that the United States is The Best Country in the World.
More proof:

The heart leans to the left.
Phariseeic legalism leans to the right.

The GOP: Incessant hammering on "Lower Taxes"... as if Reality has only one pole.
Demonstrably delusional.
Ronald Reagan raised taxes - after he lowered them -- three times!

Although humor is largely subjective, certain approaches to comedy just aren't funny.

With the exception of P.J. O'Rourke and J. Leno, I don't think there's a really funny person on the "right side of the aisle."
(Truth be told O'Rourke and Leno aren't that funny. Plus, O'Rourke got his start as a leftist.)

Do you remember the right wing's "answer" to Jon Stewart's Daily Show?
It was called "The Half Hour News Hour"
How's this for bizarre?
I deeply dislike both people in the following skit, but am still pained just watching them.
It's a performance to make porn stars blush.
Middle school jerk jabber masquerading as adult entertainment.
Meryl Streep's commencment address at Barnard University cut to the quick:
"You have been told that real life is not like college. And you have been correctly informed. Real life is like high school."
