Whenever I read American history I grow increasingly aware of how people who think "opinion trumps truth" have essentially no historical understanding of these United States and how our social, political and economic experiment unfolded.

As often happens, they fill their "knowledge void" with fuzzy feelings and whatever whole-cloth lies and "alternative truths" are needed to keep their vampire-sham "undead."

These diligently ill-informed dimwits are not just wrong about damn near

They think they could sit down to have a beer with Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, Paine, Adams and Hamilton and that their political conversation would be a kind of trans-millennial "homecoming."

However, "The Founders" - almost all of them Deists and ALL of them believers in "Liberal Democracy" would find it impossible to believe that these visitors from the 21st century considered themselves exemplars of "The American Way" and defenders of The Constitution.

If nothing else, the founders' epistemological roots went directly through "Liberal Democracy" to "The European Enlightenment," a lineage that made them all committed rationalists and earnest devotees of Science and The Scientific Method. To a man, they would cheer scientific findings on anthropogenic global warming and they would take intelligent action in light of those findings.
