Facebook Exchange On A Trumpista Comment About How Sad It Was That People Despise Trump

I have no garden work today. I have several volunteer options but I like it better when I am working for money.
We are going to Sacramento on Friday, for a family party on Saturday. It will be hot there. I expect we will mostly stay inside or jump in the swimming pool.
i cannot write about politics withou mentioning Trump and how much I despise him. I have been accused of hating him, by a Trump supporter who declared yesterday that the Muslims he knows are not real Americans. Go figure.....

EHK: I'm sorry you despise Donald Trump. I'm trying to understand. I lived under a president with whom I disagreed politically, but never thought to despise him. I will say that when I attended my nephew's funeral and the flag was presented "on behalf of President Barack Obama," I felt my skin crawl. But I never commented publicly and certain did not share on Facebook. I disagreed and debated his policies publicly, but did not despise him. It does not seem possible to have a conversation with one who despises. That is a problem in our country now.

I wish I had a nickel for every time a trump supporter deflected because they couldn't face their ignominious vote in 2016. lol, I'd have more money than trump claims he has.
