Absolutism Seduces Good People Into Condemnatory Meanspiritness

Alan: The following conversation was prompted by Tarantino's post of Lindsay Graham calling for Dreamer amnesty. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/07/21/lindsey-graham-vote-oppose-amnesty-outsourcing/

DN: They ARE criminals. They came to America illegally.

John Tarantino: So did many of our relatives yours and mine... that's different

My contribution:
Lots of humans -- perhaps 25% to 35% -- only "feel right" when they evaluate the world through the lens of "absolute principles."

You know...

"Love your enemy."

"Do good to those who persecute you."

"Turn the other cheek."

Just kidding.

Fact is... everybody picks, chooses and modifies their "principles" no matter how "absolutely true" they claim to be in bombastic pronouncement.

Most often, modification of "absolute principles" happens when a family member "comes out," or gets a divorce, or starts living "in a state of sin."

Generally speaking, those who refuse to modify their "absolute principles" (when a family member "comes out," or gets a divorce, or starts living "in a state of sin") are godawful, ugly people, a stone's throw from being as nasty as The Despicable One himself.

No doubt these folks are "saved!"

But they take waaayyyyyyyy too much pleasure marching "BAD people" to "The Doorway Of Doom."
