GOP Popularity In Freefall Since Defunding Obamacare Was Linked To Shutdown

The unprecedented problem Republicans now face is that they hate the Human Condition itself.
They hate it for being imperfect and thus they hate themselves almost as much as they hate everyone else.

If I had a penny for every time Bible Belt neighbors damned somebody to Hell,
I would have cornered the world's copper market decades ago.

They can leave nothing to God because they have made themselves God.

Alan: The following passage takes on appropriate significance when the same statistics are framed like this: 50% more Americans view the Democratic Party favorably than the percentage who view the Republican Party favorably. Ever since House Republicans linked Obamacare defunding with the shutdown, Republican popularity has plummeted two and a half times as much as Democratic popularity.

"The push to defund the legislation has cost Republicans politically. A Gallup poll released Wednesday found that only 28 percent of Americans view the Republican Party favorably — down 10 percentage points since September, and the lowest number for either party since Gallup began asking the question in 1992. Democrats took a smaller hit in the survey, with 43 percent of respondents viewing Obama’s party favorably, down four percentage points from last month."
