It is true that these wealthy executives amass fortunes "legitimately."
But to what extent do they steal "social capital" from The Common Good?
By any traditional measure of "work," Philippe Dauman does not "earn" $84,500,000.00 a year.
Nor does Safra A. Catz "earn" $52,000,000.00 a year.
Throughout my adult life -- starting with a decades-old calculation that Lee Iacocca "earned" $10,000.00 an hour -- I have considered such people un-common criminals.
(A fine introduction to the idea of The Commons - and, by extension, The Common Good - is "All That We Share." http://paxonbothhouses.blogspot.com/2012/06/httpwww.html)
