"Frog Hospital" And "Pax On Both Houses" Discuss The Wisdom Of Majorities

TLD: “Does history record any case in which the majority was right?” — Robert Heinlein. The left is so busy hating Trump - desperately hating him because he has done America more good than the last four presidents - but eventually they’ll have to make the choice that Sarah brings up. Except for those who have already chosen “hatred at any cost.” Trump is sometimes rude & crude, seldom articulate, but he has a nasty habit of being right.
Alan: Let's look at some facts. (Remember those?)
Only four American presidents received more than 60% of the popular vote.Lyndon Johnson had the highest percentage, but with only two tenths of 1% more votes than Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Yes, the decisive majority that voted for FDR was right.
This is also an opportune moment to mention that Hillary got 4.56% more popular votes than Devious Donald who, in 2012, made the following comments about The Electoral College.
Because Donald has -- at one time or another -- said "everything" about "everything," it is impossible to hold him to any standard.
Solipsist that he is, Deplorable Donald has no standards except those that advance his personal ambition from one moment to the next.
Like P.T. Barnum before him, Mafia Don knows a sucker is born every minute, and he has made it his life's work to sucker them all.
If Trump could be held to his 2012 "laughing stock standard," then I agree with Donald: The Electoral College has "made a laughingstock out of our nation."
Even more to the point is Carl Sagan who anticipated "The Great Bamboozle."
