Alan: Trump is so reflexively autocratic -- and so wide-rangingly un-informed -- that he is clueless about the nature of "The American Experiment" except as it relates to our worst cowboy-capitalist impulse, the same root impulse that brought us slavery, The Great Depression, The Great Recession, and ultimately the widespread "dumbing down" that brought us Trump himself.
