Alan: It is an inconvenient truth that (relatively) poor, uneducated people reproduce at high rates, and that wealthy, educated people reproduce at low rates.
Although I esteem poor people's "native shrewdness" and frequent goodness, it is an immutable fact that poor people tend to be "poor" citizens insofar as they are disproportionately influenced by populist/demagogic (and even fascist) bafflegab.
And so, this ill-informed "low information" demographic will "always" play a disproportionate role in making bad political decisions, thus perpetuating many of the worst manifestations of perpetually-muddled political life.
