Just because something is "possible" or "plausible" does not justify representing "possibility" and "plausibility" as truth.
Almost always, representing speculation as truth (or quite likely so) does a disservice to Truth that is routinely more damaging to the individuall psyche and The Body Politic, than brazen lies that can be disproved.
