This is now a five alarm fire, engulfing Christie.  An uprising is occurring, from Hoboken to Jersey City to the newsrooms in Trenton.  It's only a matter of time until big monied interests push him out, lest they fall with him.
It's a story as old as the 1954 classic on corruption and terrorism.  Whenever someone stands up to the corrupt Boss the subjugated rise up and end bully's reign of terror.
I.  On The Waterfront
The NFL threw a party this week.  It was a concert and fireworks show at a park in Jersey City.  When Christie took the stage the Jersey City crowd booed the hell outta him (the video at the top of the page).
Citizen activists are protesting the bully in front of subway stations.
II. Firestorm
Only 90 days ago the Corporate Media was on bended knee coronating Christie as the next "guy you'd like to have a beer with".
They were all set to ram him down the country's throat.   Then the lowly hold outs dug out the story and now, no one dare look away.

III.  Flood Gates Open
"This scandal has engulfed Chris Christie."
"The dominoes are starting to fall."
"New Jersey Governor Chris Christie just got thrown under the bus."
"Christie is under fire."
"But, but.... BENGHAZI!"
IV.  The Final Days
Christie is finished.  He wanted to be President, but he'll be lucky to stay out of prison.  Sure he doesn't want to resign, but that giant sucking sound you're hearing is the oxygen these scandals are taking out of the room.   The GOP is very sensitive about messaging.  And they can't get out any message, warped as it is, with this dominating wall-to-wall coverage.

And here comes the worst part.  Those big monied real estate developers and connected law firms don't want the press digging around in their dirty laundry.   You think the Rockefeller Group likes seeing their corrupt deals exposed.   You think Ernst & Young wants Steve Kornacki investigating them.
So the pressure is gonna come from the party, but more importantly from the ruling class to push Christie out.  They know if he goes, the press will let up and move on.  But the longer he stays the more rocks get overturned.
