I learned the location of this Great Horned Owl nest from a friend and traveled the 100 miles to the nest early in the morning. I sat for a little over 6 hours waiting for the mother to return to the nest and join her two youngsters. Just before it got dark she flew in with some type of prey and begin feeding both of them. It was an amazing experience watching the three interact with each other.
