General Kelly: You're In League With A Liar. Apologize To The Woman You Slandered. And Publicly Demand That President Trump Apologize For Hi | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Alan: The following commentary by MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell is superb, reaching into the deeply-rooted racism of John Kelly's Boston upbringing as can only be done by another Irish Catholic Bostonian
Many thanks to friend F for alerting me to O'Donnell's commentary.

Alan: Pondering John Kelly's completely "false memory" of Frederica Wilson's comments at the now famous CIA building dedication in 2015, a false-memory-alternative-fact that will sully the general's record forever, it is remarkable that there is nearly no reflection on the malleability and porosity of human memory.

Trust Your Memory?
Maybe You Shouldn't

Although truth is always elusive, the United States (already in process of surrendering global hegemony to China while the citizens becomes ever more involved with the minutiae of falsehood) cannot survive  -- as no nation can survive -- when "alternative facts," "fake news," "denial of truth," ubiquitous "conspiracy theories" and "whole cloth lies" get the upper hand.
