Marathon Bombing Survivor Reflects On Death Sentence

Jeff Bauman lost his legs in the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013. He’s walking today though on two high-tech prosthetic legs.
Here & Now’s Robin Young spoke to him last year about his book about his experiences called “Stronger,” and she paid a visit to his home yesterday to hear his reaction to the death sentence handed down on Friday against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Bauman says he’s opposed to the death penalty and he’s concerned it will prolong the process, but he also said, “that kid’s life ended as soon as he put that bag down behind those kids. His life ended when he made the choice to do that.”
