Meet TROSA Founder Kevin McDonald
By LAURA LEE & FRANK STASIO
Throughout his youth, Kevin McDonald was searching for a sense of belonging.
He turned to drugs and alcohol and by early adulthood, he was addicted to heroin. He supported his habit with a career in armed robbery. But when he was caught, the judge sentenced him to time in a rehab center.
The experience transformed his life. In 1994, Kevin founded the Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers program, known as TROSA. It helps more than 500 residents end their substance abuse and build new lives.
Host Frank Stasio talks with TROSA founder and CEO Kevin McDonald about his life and work.
