Dear Friends,

Last Sunday All Souls marked the 49th anniversary of the death of one of our former ministers, the Rev. James Reeb, who was beaten to death by segregationists while marching in Selma for voting rights in 1965.  Reeb's legacy is part of what has motivated the church to resist the recent tide of voter suppression in states across the country, especially North Carolina.  This news clip briefly tells Reeb's story and portrays All Souls in a really beautiful way, I think.

I wanted to share it with all of you, and since I'm not on Facebook, I'm doing it the old-fashioned way… :)
