Republican Congressman, Duncan Hunter Jr., Calls For Nuking Iran

Alan: If anyone - anywhere - for any reason - advocated the use of nuclear weapons against the United States, Americans would melt down faster than the epicenter of a thermonuclear blast. Gringo white guys, on the other hand, advocate nuking countries on C-Span without repercussion, almost without mention. Belligerence is our daily bread.

A California Republican congressman said in an interview with C-SPAN on Wednesday that the U.S. should not hesitate to use “tactical nuclear devices” against the nation of Iran if our two countries should become embroiled in military conflict.
According to Talking Points Memo, Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr. made the remarks in response to President Barack Obama’s historic deal with Iran over that nation’s nuclear program, an agreement that Hunter disparaged as incomplete and ineffective.
“I think if you have to hit Iran, you don’t put boots on the ground,” Hunter told C-SPAN. “You do it with tactical nuclear devices, and you set them back a decade or two or three. I think that’s the way to do it — with a massive aerial bombardment campaign.”
When pressed as to whether a war between the U.S. and Iran is inevitable, Hunter said, “I sure as hell hope not.”
Unlike most Americans, however, Hunter does not believe that the president accomplished anything in the deal he made with Iran over its nuclear program.
“I don’t think this does anything, frankly,” he said of the accord. “Even if they stop a little bit short of being able to enrich to a nuclear capability, they’re still going to be building up their ballistic missiles.”
If the U.S. ever does ramp up for war in Iran, he said, it would be a “huge undertaking.”
“I think America now knows its limitations in that area and what we can do,” he said. “Do we want to spend 20 years there after we tear it down to build it back up again so that it isn’t run by a crazy tyrannical leader like has happened in, let’s say Iraq and Afghanistan again. You’ve got some crazy guys running the governments there.”
