"God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen." Great Renditions By Robert Shaw And Nat King Cole

Dear Tig,

I thought you'd be fine with Brad, Felipe and Lara.

Speaking of Dee and Noni...

Ever since my friend John Lawson died 4 years ago, I sing "God Rest Ye Merry John Lawson" every time I drive past Duke Hospital where his cancer was managed for many years.

You could do the same with "God rest ye merry Jeanette-Dee" or "God rest ye merry Mommy-Dee."

It feels really good to sing this carol, inserting the name of departed love ones, and it is nice to have a non-Christmas-time "excuse" to pay a little visit to the manger.

"God rest ye merry my Noni" doesn't flow from the tongue quite so well but it's passable...

Here are two renditions of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" I quite like.

Love

Alan
