Alan: Republican rigging has become standard operating procedure. The entire political landscape -- with The Press playing a defining role -- has been redefined to accommodate it, to normalize it, to taxonomize "conservative" villainy as another garden variety shrub rather than a deadly venom bringing democratic governance to an impasse and threatening to undo The American Experiment. What is our democracy really without the cornerstone of "one person, one vote." Ironically, Republican treachery is no longer deemed reprehensible. Rather, it is a defining feature of our Body Politic. Were this vility to suddenly disappear, the nation would be unrecognizable and Republicans themselves would considerable The Republic lost.
