Alan: Without Obamacare (or at minimum some similar "individually-mandated" healthcare plan) we will revert to private sector insurance. The "free market," under aegis of "the invisible hand," has no economic alternative but 1.) "denial coverage" whenever denial is cost-effective, 2.) jettisoning 18 to 26 year olds from parents' coverage, and 3.) insuring that the most common cause of bankruptcy remain crushing healthcare cost.
