It was Ronald Reagan who said that freedom is always just one generation away from extinction. "We don’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream; we have to fight for it and protect it, and then hand it to them so that they shall do the same, or we’re going to find ourselves spending our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children about a time in America, back in the day, when men and women were free."
When did he say this? It was on a recording he made for Operation Coffeecup— a campaign organized by the American Medical Association to block the passage of Medicare. Doctors’ wives were supposed to organize coffee klatches for patients, where they would play the Reagan recording, which declared that Medicare would lead us to totalitarianism.

He went on to say that the process was a piece of cake and that his new coverage would save "hundreds of dollars."
My interest piqued, I decided to open my own online account.
Here is what I found.
The https://www.healthcare.gov/ website is elegantly designed.
The process took 5 minutes.
Navigation was "smooth as silk."

Let the Repugs rail on.
In keeping with their modus operandi, GOP grievances are scaredy-cat alarmism -- in the main having no substance.

Lest we forget... The roll-out of Medicare took 27 years before every state was fully on board.
As is true today, too many Americans "back then" thought the sky was falling, most of them because they listened to bilge drooled by America's most damaging president - the man responsible for trashing government itself as The Problem. (There is something openly seditious about Reagan's subversion of government.)
Notably, most problems with Obamacare's roll-out are taking place in healthcare-resistant "red states."
However, once a state decides to create its own "healthcare exchange" (Obama's clear preference in the matter) that newly-created state exchange is then in place forever.
As we've seen in states with cooperative governors, their self-designed exchanges have launched Obamacare very smoothly.
Here is a case study in the making...
If the Democrats win November's gubernatorial election in Virginia, we will then have a "laboratory" to observe the ease with which individual states manage their own Obamacare health exchanges.

The Affordable Healthcare Act (when modified to make it better) will not only be successful but resoundingly successful. http://paxonbothhouses.blogspot.com/2013/10/gop-will-collapse-if-tea-party-persists.html
