"'Pray
the gay away' ministry closes, leader apologizes to LGBT community"
***
Andrew
Sullivan: "As a gay Christian, I see Chamber's change of heart as "a
sign of God's grace." He has taken full responsibility for his mistakes,
apologizing to former gay clients that "I callously celebrated the
end of relationships that broke your heart," and admitting that gay
couples he knew "were every bit as capable of being amazing parents"
as straight people. Even more importantly, Chambers said that he'd come to see
that he and other evangelicals were "imprisoned in a worldview that's
neither honoring toward our fellow human beings, nor biblical."
