"What If Obamacare Doesn't Fail?"
“Why are Republicans so scared of Obamacare?” said Jon Favreau. The GOP has attempted to brand the health-care law a “train wreck,” insisting that it’s inherently unworkable.
But if the GOP really believes that, why not just sit back, let it fail, and reap the political benefits of the public’s wrath at Democrats?
The truth is that “Republicans are terrified Obamacare could actually work.”
Already, the law has provided 13 million Americans with rebates from insurance companies that overcharged them, and soon, insurers will not be allowed to refuse pre-existing conditions.
More than 3 million “happy young adults” have been allowed to stay on their parents’ health insurance until age 26.
California’s and New York’s insurance exchanges have already posted policies for the uninsured that are much cheaper than expected.
Yet “the anti-government zealots” in the GOP are trying to block any attempt to educate the uninsured about how to sign up, and doing everything possible to frighten people about the program.
Why?
The evidence shows that “if we as a nation want Obamacare to work, it will work.” No wonder Republicans are so frantic.

Alarmism is in their genes.
