Taxation is not only a good idea.
Taxation is the price we pay for civilization.
Currently, Americans do not pay enough tax to enable civilization's prosperity.
Even in the halls of government - and despite government's many shortcomings - we "get what we pay for."
Although there are multiple reasons for "The Great Unraveling," America's Body Politic is at risk of "un-doing" because we do not pay sufficient tax to maintain a reasonable ratio between "wealth at the top" and "wealth at the bottom."
