Paul Ryan's Absurdity: "Single-Payer, Government-Run Health Care Would Be A Disaster"

Alan: When Paul Ryan says "single-payer, government-run healthcare would be a disaster" I have this question: "Why does NO country with single-payer, government-run healthcare want to revert to privatized, non-single-payer healthcare? (See Ryan's full quote below.)

And why does no single-payer country consider its government-run health care system "a disaster?"

All institutions can be improved, but not one of the world's nations that currently enjoys "single-payer, government run healthcare" wants to return to the status quo ante.

Not one.

Even after the failures of Obamacare, the Left wants to double down on abolishing our health care system as we know it. Today's Democratic Party has gone off the rails, and here's why: "Medicare for all" may sound good, but it would essentially destroy and obliterate the private health insurance system, the employer-sponsored health insurance system—oh and by the way— it would end Medicare as we know it. We need to save the current Medicare program for those in or near retirement, not raid it for a new entitlement. This irresponsible plan from Democrats would cost taxpayers $32.6 trillion in its first ten years alone. When it comes to socialism, Margaret Thatcher said it right: "Eventually, you run out of other people's money to spend." That's the thing with socialism; it is long on promises and extremely short on delivering on those promises.  Put simply, single-payer, government-run health care would be a disaster, and as long as Republicans control the House, it will never happen.
