I Know Brett Kavanaugh, But I Wouldn’t Confirm Him
This is an article I never imagined myself writing, that I never wanted to write, that I wish I could not write.
Benjamin Wittes, The Atlantic

Excerpt: "I have a long relationship with Kavanaugh, and I have always liked him. I have admired his career on the D.C. Circuit. I have spoken warmly of him. I have published him. I have vouched publicly for his character—more than once—and taken a fair bit of heat for doing so."

Alan: I believe Kavanaugh's confirmation would be a starcrossed outcome to the Senate Judiciary Committee's process.

I also believe Kavanaugh's confirmation would provide the best possible political leverage whereby Democrats' could win both House and Senate this November.

Polling has consistently shown that women are the linchpin to the upcoming election, and seating Kavanaugh on The Supreme Court will not only increase the number of women outraged by his confirmation but will generate the enthusiasm to "get them to the polls."
