A Closer Look At A Biden-Harris Ticket

Dear F,

If Joe chooses Kamala Harris as his running mate -- and says he'll run for one term only -- I think that together they would trounce Pence.

And during his one term it would be understood that he would groom Kamala to follow him.

With Joe at the helm and Harris as veep, I think the nation would grow accustomed to the idea of a woman in The White House.

Then, as a squeaky clean candidate with 4 years under Joe's wing, American women would vote for her in unprecedently high numbers, and people of color would turn out in droves - blacks, latinos and Asian-Americans whose political persuasion is very Democratic and who comprise. Plus in another six years, the ongoing browing of America will make that demographic significantly larger.

Remember. We don't have to win by much.

A total of 80,000 votes in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania (the last two being very black states) gets the job done.

Plus, unlike Hillary, Kamala is likeable. And lovely... which never hurts.

In a Biden interview this a.m. he didn't say no to a run but did think his age would be a legitament issue.
Castro on the Daily Show said he was considering a run.
So far that's it.

All are  saying the Dem. candidate must be tough but not try to take on hector
at his low level at mud slinging.

Do you think Pence could win over Biden . He's not an incumbent.  hector got the  Evangelical vote and red state Rep.   and still came up short. Biden could turn some of the Midwest or  Central states. Maybe not the south. Someone should put electoral vote scenario together for Joe.

Dear F and Jimbo. Two comments about impeachment… First, the Senate will ratify trumps impeachment, so why initiate the process in the House when the motion’s eventual failure will only make Trump look innocent - and  Democrats impotent. Also, if impeachment were brought to a successful conclusion, Mike Pence’s election in 2020 would be assured. In the popular imagination, Pence comes across as an all-American boy, a moderate, and someone who kept his cool when everyone else in the White House was losing it. (Plus he’s a real evangelical! ) Surely the dimwits and addlepated who populate America would see him as an admirable incumbent and welcome relief from Trump’s daily monstrosity us. In the overall mix of American politics, incumbents have tremendous momentum. It will be difficult enough to defeat Trump... although I think we can do it. On the other hand,  Pence (by my lights) is unbeatable. Love, A
