The strength of our military defense ultimately depends on the united resolve of the American people. Are we united in purpose under the Current Occupant of the White House?

Alex Staples the previous office did a lot of damage to the force in the opinion of most members I know regardless of their views positive or negative on other subjects with that administration its nearly unanimous that the military was made much weaker, the current office has done a lot to strengthen it as well as take a lot of the restraints off of them.

Fred Owens You support him, I do not. Extrapolating from that I estimate that half of the American people have little confidence in the current leadership and we are weakened for that lack of resolve..........

Alex Staples My mistake I thought you were concerned about the unity and strength of the military, also I have never said I support him or don't ive just given my view on individual issues. That being said I would vote for him over hillary any day but I voted 3rd party

David King I cannot imagine this person is our president. I do not like Hillary, but she would be 10x's better than this laughing stock. (And I voted 3rd party too, because in CA, I wasn't going to change anything, but I registered a protest.) I wouldn't follow this clown anywhere, especially if there was guns and bombs involved. My dog is brighter than he is!

Alan Archibald The Soviet Union collapsed --- imploded under its own dead weight --- without a shot being fired. The Soviet people were fed up with government based on unworkable political philosophy and an all-encompassing propaganda machine that seldom coincided with provable truth, (Anyone come to mind?) Abruptly, Soviet citizens withdrew their support. Overnight, a 75 year old regime that had killed 20 - 25 million citizens under Stalin (compared with 6 million Germans who died during World War II) the Soviet Union came to a sudden end without one drop of blood shed. I agree with Fred that national security depends fundamentally on the resolve of the people and that saber-rattling citizens who put their trust primarily in bellicosity do so in order to satisfy an ersatz psychological need rather than any demand put in place by political practicality. Founder of the Gestapo and Nazi head of the Luftwaffe, Hermann Goering nailed it: "Why, of course, the people don't want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship." What happened with the unexpected demise of the Soviet Union can happen in these "United" States. Trump's lack of political knowledge and political ability has already surrendered global hegemony to China and, with that feather in his cap, Captain Chaos is now dedicating himself to political suicide. Consider Lincoln's prophecy. http://paxonbothhouses.blogspot.com/.../lincoln-predicted...Manage
