Leslie Stahl Interviews Donald Trump & Mike Pence. Devious Donald's Double Standard Astounds

Did you watch Leslie Stahl's interview with Donald Trump and Mike Pence on 60 Minutes? If not, go watch all of it right now to witness one pathetic moment after another.

Donald Trump’s 60 Minutes interview left me wondering if he even wants to be president

But there's one moment in particular...one astonishing, flabbergasting exchange...that will reverberate until Election Day like no other.
"We did go to war, if you remember," Stahl said. "We went to Iraq."
"Yeah," Trump replied, "you went to Iraq" — note the use of the second person there — "but that was handled so badly. And, by the way, that was a war that we shouldn't have entered."
Recall, at this point, that Trump is sitting next to his running mate, Mike Pence. And Mike Pence supported the Iraq War. This is something Stahl noted.
"Your running mate voted for it," she said.
Trump’s reply? "I don't care."
Stop for a moment and let that sink in. Trump did not try to explain away Pence’s vote. He did not say that Pence had learned from his vote. He just said, flatly, "I don’t care."
Stahl, at this point, seemed genuinely shocked. "What do you mean you don't care that he voted for it?"
"It's a long time ago," Trump said. "And he voted that way, and they were also misled. A lot of information was given to people." Here, again, it’s worth quoting what came next:
Lesley Stahl: But you've harped on this.
Donald Trump: But I was against the war in Iraq from the beginning.
Lesley Stahl: Yeah, but you've used that vote of Hillary [Clinton]'s that was the same as Gov. Pence as the example of her bad judgment.
Donald Trump: Many people have, and frankly, I'm one of the few that was right on Iraq.
Lesley Stahl: Yeah, but what about he—
Donald Trump: He's entitled to make a mistake every once in a while.
Lesley Stahl: But she's not? Okay, come on—
Donald Trump: But she's not—
Lesley Stahl: She's not?
Donald Trump: No. She's not.
Lesley Stahl: Got it.
It's possible that the American people have never seen such blatant and proudhypocrisy in a presidential candidate before. I certainly haven't. In any other year I'd say this exchange was "unbelievable" and "disqualifying", but this isn't any other year...it's just another day in Trumpland.
Imagine for a second that Hillary picked a running mate who disagreed with her on such a contentious long-term issue and her response was, literally, "I don't care". Such an absurd answer would likely dominate the headlines for days and possibly torpedo her candidacy. So yes, clearly there is a double standard at work in the media. A massive one.
But it doesn't stop there.
We should expect Donald to go after Hillary at least once in a debate regarding her vote for the Iraq resolution (even though he's on record supporting the invasion in 2002). But now, not only does he have a running mate who also voted for the AUMF, he's also on record saying he doesn't even care about the issue when it comes to Pence. If Trump tries to make the argument in a debate that it was a mistake for Clinton but not Pence, Hillary will completely destroy him on this.
There's no need to wait until the debates though. Every single voter who's even halfway considering a vote for Trump should see this clip...whether the media deems it noteworthy or not.
