FORMER KKK LEADER DAVID DUKE SAYS OPPOSITION TO TRUMP SHOWS ‘JEWS ARE REAL PROBLEM’
Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke lauded Donald Trump’s rise to become the Republican nominee on Wednesday, saying that he had overcome “Jewish supremacists who control” the United States.
The notorious leader of the white supremacist party had previously endorsed Trump and the billionaire construction magnate failed to reject Duke’s approval in February.
On his radio show on Wednesday, Duke launched into an anti-Semitic tirade, saying that opposition to Trump showed that Jews are “the real problem” and the “reason why America is not great.”
Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination after winning the Indiana primary earlier this week, causing his remaining rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich to drop out of the race, leaving him as the sole contender.
Duke hailed Trump’s win as an “amazing victory” and blamed Republican Jews for attempts to stop him becoming the eventual candidate for the presidency.
“I think these Jewish extremists have made a terribly crazy miscalculation, because all they’re going to be doing by doing a Never Trump movement is exposing their alien, their anti-American, anti-American majority position,” he said.
“They’re going to push people more into an awareness that that the neo-cons are the problem, that these Jewish supremacists who control our country are the real problem, and the reason why America is not great.”
But, according to U.S. Jewish publication The Forward, Jewish Republicans had in fact been noting their support for Trump with former spokesman of George W. Bush tweeting that he would “vote for Trump over Hillary any day” while Republican Jewish Coalition chairman David Flaum criticized Clinton as the worst choice for the presidency and congratulated Trump on his victory.
