Chinese Bat Soup
The origin of Covid-19 seems to be bats* which happen to have been sold in Wuhan's meat market.

Here's my H. Family Times submission for March... (Alan: H. is a statistician by profession.)
I'm starting to view my doorknob askance, as repository of at least 48 hours of pathogens from anyone touching it. So, I try to wash my hands each time coming in. It's really weird to have 85 degrees here in mid-March with no leaves on trees yet, but allergies in full bloom. Both Liz and her Elly had bad colds that Elly threw off but Liz still deals with (no voice) while John's building their house and their James must stay in unless I or others can take him out. Willy and Katie returned from vacation in Mexico City to self-quarantine. He writes, "We are good. Just had a meet up with friends where they sat on the front lawn, and we sat on our porch." My Parisian student just found out his girl-friend, an RN, is very sick with it, despite wearing a face-mask in hospital. She must stay in one end of the family apartment and her grandparents in the other. His grandmother lives in a now-infected retirement home, so he's on the phone continually.

Age looks like the most important risk factor: Age, Sex, Existing Conditions of COVID-19 Cases and Deaths https://www.worldometers.info/ coronavirus/coronavirus-age- sex-demographics/
Accurate info can only be gotten for this by random testing the entire population, and the US isn't doing that. Other countries are. Being totally unprepared after Trump disbanded the National Security Council unit focused on pandemic preparedness, we have far too few beds, respirators, and test kits. Estimating number exposed without broad sampling can require many complicated assumptions.

(Jefferson County, KY, already has 1 death. By this method, that's 1600 cases, not the 33* reported.)
*Here's COVID-19 in US and Canada, by state and county within state (continually updated) https://coronavirus. 1point3acres.com/en
Currently, the Covid death rate is > 4.0% and > 1918's 2.5%. Here's worldwide, including by country (continually updated) https://coronaboard.kr/en
My bond-hedged strategy was at (66.91-73.39)/2=-3.24% YTD (3/23/20) and not near going all into bonds, yet (continually updated). https://tinyurl.com/vqnt4xd
