It isn't. The 5 years she got was part of a package plea deal to cover the larceny as well as drug dealing and prostitution charges.
The system is out of whack. But, this isn't the best comparison to make that claim.

And here is my 5 year old blog post that presents collateral evidence: "The Deadly Oppression Of Black People."

Finally, consider this utterly despicable and revealing confession -- a telling article about systematic Republican oppression of black people and hippies - including me.

I invite readers to come up with anything remotely reminiscent of Tricky Dick's racist policy that was perped by modern Democrats.
Nixon. Dubyah. Trump.
I've had enough righteous platitudes from the GOP, although during the Trump "administration" they seldom pretend to righteousness anymore. Just a headlong dive to see how far (and low) they can push the envelope and still get away with treachery, cynicism, institutional corrosion and criminality.
Where is their sense of shame?
Or any slight indication they've learned from their mistakes?
It seems to me that -- unable to learn -- they've settled on a policy of whiney victimhood denial of any responsibility - doubling down on vility and trebling down on vility.
Inconvenient Truth About The Trump Administration's Rife Criminality

I could make a strong argument that Reagan's "me generation" began the terminal fraying of The General Welfare, The Common Good and anything remotely like a Social Contract.
But it also goes back to Lee Atwater.

But like they say: "Don't get me started!"
