An elite school is a place where a very large amount of academic resources are focused on a very small number of students. Is that a valid description?

But it is private not public money. We do not like to restrict anyone’s freedom to frivilously spend their money.... yeah and then some go bankrupt....so that is a poor argument, maybe we should restrict how people spend their money

I'm not sorry I got educated at Columbia. It mean reading a lot of books, I've always gone back to, and spending the rest of the time demonstrating against the war in Vietnam.
Also Columbia was not ruinously expensive then. I had some state scholarships and left with no student debt. It's different now.
