Good to have your list of restaurants and stores. I have Ixtapa and the rte 70 bakery, and planned to catch more. Markets for sure. I did bring some to folks from a church working Durham Farmers market but not this Catholic one. Also got Catholic Charities and both Centro de Hispanos - they were enthusiastic. We would love to find a Hispanic person to join our board. Need more board members en general (help help).

I will drop off couple of hundred to you pronto. I will see Maria May 24 at Demo Women event. If you see her sooner can you chat her up for ideas and see if she will take some. She helped me early on but is so busy with so much stuff since…..

On other fronts...

To maximize effective distribution of "our" tick-borne disease brochure, I would seek out Mexican restaurants, using Yelp.com as a way to locate them. Inexpensive eateries which have a single "$" rating would probably be patronized more often by latinos who work outdoors.

Here in Hillsborough I would approach Colorado Burrito, La Michoacana and El Restaurante Ixtapa.

In Durham I would place them at Guanajuato Restaurant of Durham,  La Superior Carniceria,  Super Taqueria, Taqueria La Vaquita.

I also encourage you to place brochures at Spanish language grocery stores - the one in the "strip" mall immediately south of Hillsborough's Duke Medical Clinic on 86/South Churton, and Durham's Compare Food, 200 yards east of Roxboro and Avondale's "Y" junction. http://www.comparesupermarkets.com/

The lobby of Immaculate Conception Church in Durham would be another good place, as would (our collaborator) Rev. I just got another 4000 foliates printed - 1000 already out. Got any ideas of places to take them. (Piedmont Health and NC Farmworker Health Program - both have farmworker outreach - got most of these.)
