"I made that bitch famous"
A brief history of men getting credit for women's accomplishments.

I saw "Hidden Figures" last night - an excellent movie which, along with a host of other social and cultural insights, reveals the ugly history of "men getting credit for women's accomplishments." It's always difficult to struggle on multiple fronts but far too little attention has been paid to the "invisible" fact that women are the chief source of social glue and family nurturance. Part of this invisibility is that the social matrix in which we live - and without which no one thrives - is like the air we breathe, indispensable but mostly unnoticed.
